Desperate 2018 – Allie’s Praise…

Dear Reader, have you ever been desperate, really desperate? Maybe you’ve been desperate for a job, or a financial breakthrough. Or perhaps you and your spouse have been desperate for a child, or desperate on behalf of a child.

One good thing about being at this season of life for me is having come through periods of  desperation due only to the grace of God. Thanks to Him, desperation in the flesh has diminished.

God, you give true peace to people who depend on you, to those who trust in you.
Isaiah 26:3 ERV

But lately, Dear Reader, a new sense of desperation has begun growing in my spirit. As “true peace” has grown, desperation for God’s will has also grown. I’ve started to find myself in God’s Word more, reflecting more, listening for His “still, small voice” closer.

My One Word for 2018 is DESPERATE, desperate to understand, embrace, and fulfill the Lord’s will for my life. Will you join me, Dear Reader, in desperately seeking God’s perfect plan?

God, listen! Listen to my prayer, listen to the pain in my cries.
Don’t turn your back on me just when I need you so desperately.
Psalm 102:1 MSG
