Once upon a time I dreamed of learning to arrange flowers and become an outstanding photographer in my next life. Sometimes we need to monitor and adjust, don’t we, Dear Reader?
When we moved to our suburban house all the neighbors were major gardeners. Not so with our previous homeowners. Tom and I invested literally tons into our yard. I wasn’t arranging flowers, but I learned to enjoy planting them.
And for about three hours each summer we loved the fruits of our labors. That’s when Tom and I started to realize that even though some beautiful beings were growing, we needed to readjust where we were planting our resources.
It’s obvious, isn’t it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.
Luke 12: 34 MSG
So we monitored and adjusted, big time: downsizing and selling out. And I won’t lie to you, Dear Reader, we may have literally moved on, but sometimes it’s still a little hard letting go.
Praise God for dear friends! My good friend, Sondra, knew how much I was going to miss our sunroom. On her first visit to our new home she brought me the cheerful planter in the slideshow below. Friends like that can definitely make the letting go a lot easier.
