I was the kid who couldn’t learn to ride a bike in elementary school; couldn’t learn to roller skate in junior high; or learn to dance in high school.
Decades later, Tom and I are beginning a new chapter. And there are days I feel like I’m in the middle of that crazy summer. More than once, I’ve asked, “What am I thinking?”
It all started with “downsizing”. In case you haven’t gone through the process, downsizing is HARD! When you’re sentimental, like me, it’s excruciating.
Tom and I started working with a realtor in January and immediately things jumped to light speed. The listing date was moved up a month, and our house sold the first day!
I kept telling Tom the Lord had a reason for expediting our big move. We got moved in on a Friday, and social-distancing orders began going into effect the following Monday. Thank you, Lord!
So here we are, new home, new community, new set of rules for living (at least for now). What was I thinking when I thought it was time to start a new chapter?
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
